Elementary Admissions

  • The Bellevue Montessori School academic school year begins in early September and ends in mid–June .  Summer school is offered in 3 three-week sessions.
  • Admission to the academic and childcare program is subject to a contractual commitment for the entire academic year.
  • Bellevue Montessori School does not charge an application fee, conduct fundraising, or require mandatory volunteer time.


Application and Enrollment

  • Registration for all students starts in January.  
  • For new students, at least one parent must attend a school tour before submitting an application.

  • For new students, the Admissions Committee will make a preliminary decision on admission after receiving all of the information required for a complete application.   If the Admissions Committee makes a preliminary decision to approve admission, the new student must schedule a classroom visit.
  • After the new student completes a classroom visit, the Admissions Committee will make a final decision and advise families by mail.  If the Admissions Committee makes a final decision to approve admission, the application deposit will be processed as a partial payment of the annual tuition.  This payment is not refundable.
  • On or before May 1, enrollment for all students must be completed by submitting
    • an additional payment of 10% of the annual tuition, which also is not refundable. 
  • Students new to the elementary program must attend at least one summer school session before beginning regular program classes.

Tuition Payment Terms

  • Tuition is an annual charge to be paid in ten equal payments, due in its entirety regardless of absence due to illness, vacations, or any other circumstances. The payment schedule is as follows:

    • Payment #1 is due at registration. (This payment is non-refundable after enrollment is approved by the Admissions Committee.)
    • Payment #2 is due May 1. (This payment is non-refundable.) 
    • The remaining eight payments are due the first school day of each month from September through April.

 

Summer School

Summer school at our Park Elementary campus is a time to choose a curriculum and to study it in depth.  Recent offerings include architecture, music, art and science.  The students experience a field trip to places such as the aquarium, the arboretum, the science center and the zoo in each of the three-week summer sessions.  We supplement the chosen curriculum with outdoor sports, art and vegetable gardening.  Summer school for 2012 will begin on June 25.  Information will be posted under the Forms tab beginning March 1.
